This herbal blend is meant to be added to your food every day as a way to get herbal medicine in your daily diet. It has powerful anti-inflammatory and hepatoprotective (liver-supportive) herbs such as turmeric, milk thistle seed, burdock root and fenugreek. The nettles in the herb-a-shake are a wonderful tonic rich in iron and calcium as well as Vitamins A and K. The 3 seaweeds provide more essential minerals and sesame seeds are a wonderful source of omega-6 fatty acids, flavonoid phenolic anti-oxidants, vitamins and minerals such as the Vitamin B complex, calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc and selenium. Schizandra berries are an adaptogen and great kidney support, liver tonic and anti-inflammatory. Black pepper is added because it enables your body to absorb turmeric six times better than it would without. Manzanita berries are a local wild food that is high in anti-oxidants and vitamins and has traditionally been used by Native Americans as kidney support and to relieve bronchitis, among many other things.
The inspiration behind this rich blend of herbs was to make a truly medicinal herbal blend that people could enjoy on their food every day and get the benefit of digestive and liver support while eating it. It has even been proven that we digest our food better when we enjoy it so I wanted to come up with an herb-a-shake that was not only powerful support on many levels for the body but also delicious. I hope you enjoy it!

Elderberry Tincture and Syrup
Elderberries are a local wild medicine that are wonderful immune support and anti-viral. They can be taken as a preventative in the cold and flu season or to avoid getting sick once you feel a cold coming on. They provide support for the upper respiratory system and help fight off sore throat, coughs, and the common cold. They are high in anti-oxidants, amino acids, Vitamins A and B and very high in Vitamin C.
I make both a tincture and a syrup with the elderberries. The syrup is made with local honey and is a wonderful remedy even for the smallest members of the household. I have given my son elderberry since he was a baby and it has been very helpful in keeping us healthy.
Healing Skin Salve
Made with calendula and comfrey from my garden that I infuse in organic olive oil. The salve is made with local beeswax and my infused oils as well as a few organic essential oils. The herbs it contains are wonderful for skin repair and restoration for anything from dry skin to scratches, scrapes, cuts and burns.
I have been using the Skin Heal Salve for 2 years now. I love it! I work outside in Agriculture, my hands are constantly wet which makes them dry and prone to cracking especially to my cuticles and corners of my fingernail beds. The Skin Heal Salve makes the pain stop immediately from the splitting. A few applications and the cracks and chapping is healed. It also helps protect from water absorbing. It has helped my hand tremendously. Karen Marie Feliz
I bought some elderberry tincture from you and used it all last winter, and never got sick. I love it!
